Inspired by my love of physical journal keeping and
my constant fear of running out of ink mid-entry,
I was compelled to take my thoughts
(and unsolicited opinions) to the keyboard.Â

Serving as not only my "blogging debut"
but as my first true attempt at declaring who I am,
finding what I love and sorting through the
trials, triumphs and truths of existing as a
20-something in 2024.
about me
Hi! I’m Riley, avid physical journal keeper, brand-new blogger.
If you're reading this, you're probably looking to get the inside scoop on the author behind these posts, and honestly, so am I.Â
In a desperate attempt to get to know myself better (and to avoid cover letters at all costs), I started this blog as a passion project after graduating with a degree in marketing from the University of Utah.
Truly, this bio is just as "under-construction" as my sense of self right now, and I think that's just as exciting as it is terrifying.Â
While I am still navigating my complexities (like learning to trust my gut, heal from my past, form my own opinions, define what my true likes and dislikes are... amongst other things), I can still give you a few fun facts about me:Â

I'm a sagittarius sun, sagittarius moon and pisces rising (but I'm not really cool enough to know the ins and outs of what that actually means)
I was born 2lbs 6oz, raised in Western-Massachusetts, and moved to Salt Lake City during the pandemic's peakÂ
I grew up in the competitive dance world (yes, it was pretty much like Dance Moms, and, yes, that was my favorite show as a kid)
To know me is to know that I love a sweet treat, psychology podcasts, an extensive journaling session, cheffing it up in the kitchen, shopping of all types, live music, art, taking "too many" photos, Pinterest time, the outdoors, and bragging about my friends to anyone who will listen
I'm an aspiring creative advertising/brand strategist (and I've worked on some real client work that I love)
At the end of each journal session I sign off the same way that I do on these blog posts:Â
